Johnson Newhof & Associates was founded by business partners, Denis Johnson and Mike Newhof, and is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Now JNA Group, the company has evolved and grown into a complete design/build solution for various industries and sectors. JNA Group now includes Stuart Johnson, Ben Newhof and Eric VanHolstyn.
Founded in 1981, the firm originally focused on residential design. The legacy has continued from custom homes and resort condos to apartment communities and senior care facilities. The firm has now designed/built over 5,000 housing units in Michigan. Recognizing that clients would benefit from an integration of architectural and construction services under one roof, Denis Johnson partnered with Michael Newhof. Together since 1985, the partnership and collaboration ensure a better product and experience for clients. As the needs of clients became more diverse, JNA expanded its design/build beyond residential to manufacturing, restaurant, retail, commercial and land development.
In 2004, JNA Group also formed an alliance with Post Associates Architectural, with 50+ years of experience. The relationship allowed for an expansion of services and technology to serve a growing customer base.
